| This is one of the stories I am working on and hopefully trying to get popular. I would appreciate it if you read it and offered your opinion. Rellik D'nuhred is a resident of the People's Republic of Surype, a communist country on the planet Malas'ses. He is a member of a race of sapient, humanoid animals called hybrids, of which he resembles a malamute. Rellik is a giant in a world of dwarfs, and he and his race are the lower-class rung of society, taking orders from humans. Among the chief opponents of hybrids is the leader of Surype himself, Paneh Cayekk. After his friends are taken from him, the giant hybrid decides he has had enough of Cayekk's vicegrip on his people and vows to do something about it, sending him on a journey of thousands of miles from home and inches from death. Rellik sat up with a jolt. Slythe was pounding on his door. "Jeez man, come on, answer the damn door before we leave you!" The malamute stumbled half-asleep to the entrance to his apartment. He turned the lock and pulled the door open. Slythe and another hybrid, who was almost as large as Rellik, wearing a thick fur jacket and hat were standing in his entryway. Unrest: Chapter 12A solemn, almost fearful atmosphere had fallen on downtown Wahfl by Wednesday. No longer were the streets congested with hybrids commuting to and from work. Instead, only the sporadic vehicle traveled around. It was as if the people were willing to give up working and risk losing their allowance to prevent themselves from being arrested. Rumors were abounding that the police were randomly pulling hybrids over and arresting them. Worse, they said that they put you to hard, labor-intensive work at these camps... if you were lucky. Unrest: Chapter 11The cut on Rellik's shoulder didn't begin to throb with pain until the silent drive back to Ashley's alley, but once it did, it only added to his aches. His head was pounding and he felt himself shaking. Ugh. I should just forget about Ashley and head home, he thought to himself. No, shut up, Rellik. You're better than that. Say goodbye to her at least. He raged inside himself, eventually deciding to pull over in front of Ashley's alley. When he arrived there, he quickly turned off the car and locked it. Rows of neat, alien houses were lined up underneath the glow of strange flameless candles, like dim, tiny suns suspended from metal poles. “Get out,” the man told him, but not unkindly. Toril fumbled with the wall, expecting it to come open at his push. He tried valiantly to shove it open, but it wasn't until the human pulled a handle on the outside that the door opened and Toril fell out onto the hard, rough concrete. He groaned and attempted in vain to get his assailant to back off, but to no avail. | Why hello there. You seem to be a right jolly fellow. I suppose I will tell you about me then. I am an aspiring artist and author. I love to write. But only if it's about what I want to. Otherwise it's kind of a chore. That doesn't mean I won't do it though. I love biology, my family, and Jesus. I would really like it if you read A Blessing or Unrest, the stories I'm working on.
